Blue's Clues

Blue's Clues

More and more I've been warming up to wearing navy blue. It's actually kind of becoming my favorite neutral (yes, people can have favorite neutrals - at least according to me.) Couple that with my admiration of peplums and this top was a dream come true. Summer is the perfect time to take advantage of wearing white pants, and these girly Zara sandals were begging to be added to the look. Already have a pair of thong sandals you think need a little spicing up? Look no further than this easy tutorial. Navy happens to look absolutely lovely with pink, and this bangle is the perfect little accessory to complete this dainty look.

Hope you all have a lovely rest of the week!
XOXO,
Kate

"You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!" - Isaiah 26:3

P.S. Recently I've really been liking Christian music artist Dara Maclean. Not only is her music is real and uplifting but I've seen this girl in interviews and she is 100% authentic about giving glory to Jesus. If you'd like to give her a little listen, check out the video for her song "Free" below. :)

Nautical Nights

Nautical Nights

This look is a classic, fun nautical combination. The military inspired buttons on the skirt are precious while utilitarian, and the soft draping of the shirt lend femininity. The purse and shoes are the perfect classics, while the gold, almost serpentine bracelet lend the look a dose of drama (yay for alliteration?).

Happy Monday, and have a great week!
XOXO,
Kate

Flouncy Fun

flouncy fun

Shirts blouse, $95
House Of Holland metallic skirt, £440
Black shoes, $13
14k earrings, $1,250

I like this look a lot because it's sweet and girly, but still has an edge. I think it's the fun twist put on  a lot of the classic pieces that make it interesting and a tad funky, a la Alexa Chung - who has a knack for taking a timeless look and making it quirky and cool. Pleated skirts are the "it" style of the moment, and the metallic finish on this one is simply sumptuous. I kind of have a thing for tie-neck blouses, so this top is naturally a favorite - especially with the white/black contrasting. This is the second post in a row featuring a leopard print bag, and I have no regrets - this ladylike one takes the cake. Simple diamond earrings and black flats finish up the look with just the right amount of subtlety.

Hope you have a wonderful week!
XOXO,
Kate

Minnie

Sonia by Sonia Rykiel short sleeve shirt, €325
Trina Turk red pants, $92
Dorothy Perkins black wedge heels, £33
Dorothy Perkins black clutch, £8
Jennifer Meyer Jewelry diamond stud earrings, $675

Hey guys! How have you all been? I decided to go with a look that was a bit retro-inspired. The slender leg of the pants balances out the slight boxiness of the top. Colored pants are and always will be a great thing to have in your closet, and pairing them with neutrals keeps the look from getting too overwhelming. A wedge heel is always great, and the tassel and lock detail on the clutch is magnificent! I feel like this look is very "Matchbook girl" - Matchbook Mag references, anyone? Either way it's super fun, and that's really what I like - it proves that when you look good, you feel good too.
Stay precious!

XOXO,
Kate
